AI Agents articles

Autonomous systems that reason, act and use tools.

An AI agent is a loop: the model looks at a goal and the results so far, chooses a tool to call, observes the result, and repeats until it decides it is done. That loop is what lets agents handle open-ended tasks, and it is also what makes them expensive and unpredictable when left unbounded.

Articles here are about making agents dependable: stopping conditions and budgets, tool design that the model uses correctly, recovering from tool errors, and knowing when a fixed workflow would serve better than an autonomous agent.

For a structured path through this topic, see Building AI Agents and Agentic Workflows.
